Rough Day

Poor little Preston had a rough day yesterday. He experienced his first traffic accident, he was with aunt#3 on her scooter and some punk kid took a turn too fast and his scooter slipped and crashed into them. Nothing major happened, but Preston got a bunb on the head and was too scared to get back on to go home so Ya-ping and I had to go pick him up. Later on in the day we were at a school playground and he got hit in the chest pretty hard by a ball thrown by a well intentioned grade schooler who didn't know his own strength.

The rest of the weekend, though, was better. At church he was very popular, and very spoiled. He had an entire primary class follow him around (and give him candy) for much of Sunday school.

Saturday, Ya-pings brother took us to KenDing, a popular beach town, to play in the ocean- it turns out that Preston is afraid of sand. As long as he had his sandals on, and didn't have to touch it with his hands, then he was OK. He had a lot of fun in the water, though.

Preston has gotten great at imitating dogs, especially Aunt#3's dog. The dog will bark, and Preston will repeat it back perfectly. He even plays this game with viscious angry dogs on the street. He has also gotten really good at waving goodbye and even blowing kisses goodbye (he gets the kissing his hand part, not so much the blowing it to the other person part).
