Baby Franklin
Franklin has had his eyes open pretty much the whole time hes been out.
Ya-ping resting before the action started.
We would like to welcome the guy who now makes the name and address of our blog obsolete. Franklin De-an (or Zi-an, Ya-ping hasn't decided yet) was born thursday evening, 6lbs 15ounces with a conehead. Ya-ping had a hard day but did amazingly well (especially after the epidural). Mom and baby are doing well. Preston got to hold Franklin and kept saying "like me!" (We think it was in reference to the baby pictures of himself we showed him, as in "this baby is just like I used to be").

Darth Preston
As part of Preston's potty training, we bought a lightsaber that he gets after a full day with no accidents. Well, he's been racking his brain for ways to get it earlier, and this is what he came up with: he disappeared into his room and came out looking like this (minus the miniature lightsaber) and saying "Dum dum dum dum de-dum..." (his best attempt at the imperial march). After he had our attention, he looked at us and in his most innocent voice said "I need a sword!" After his attempt failed, he contented himself with the Mr. Potato Head lightsaber in the picture. He even has the Vader breathing down pat. (all of his stuff came from that potatohead set, btw).

Preston likes those letters a little too much.
Preston the teacher. He stood all of those up by himself, not as easy as it looks.
Preston the chef. He had leftover broth from some soup and part of a croissant on the table, and two parents who weren't paying attention. The next thing you know, you get this:
It looked like tuna and felt like butter. I don't think I'm ever eating another croissant.
Keep watching the skies!

Randomness
I'm in a mood for random pics, so here they are:
Preston playing hide and go seek with us.
More pregnant Ya-ping
It's amazing how much fun you can have with a simple tree branch
Trying to figure out where the coins go after you drop them in
Somber Preston
Preston has taken to acting like a dog or a cat, hmm, that story sounds familiar...
This picture was taken while on the run from a terrifying monster, forgive the blurriness
