Sad (for me): My wife and baby are going to Taiwan for a month, which means I will be a lonely, lonely boy. Hopefully I will find plenty to do in my lab. Has anyone seen GATTACA? That is similar to the type of stuff we're trying to be able to do in this lab. We're not at the point of instantly identifying a person's DNA and potential ailments, but we can get an insane amount of data about the entire genome of ~100 people over the course of a day or two. Yaping gave her first primary lesson in english today (she now teaches sunbeams). I slept next to Preston last night and the first thing he said to me in the morning was "Daddy go ::SNORE!!::." I think that's about all that's happening at the moment.

Looks like we might be done with chilly nights like this, it was in the 60's all last week. Perfect for biking.

This kid is tough. This is him going directly from sitting on his bum to standing, without using his arms.

Preston and the cat: This weekend Preston went cat hunting. Fortunately, I thought ahead enough to bring my camera. The following pictures should tell the story better than writing it.
